Mark Elliot Cullen will post a demo recording of an original song every day in 2008. All the songs will be available for free, and will also be open to public experimentation through “Attribution By” Creative Commons Licenses.
On Mark Elliot Cullen (E-Mail)

Mark grew up in Florida and Pittsburgh and bought his first guitar from Wal-Mart at age eighteen. His poems have been published in several small journals and were recently recognized by the Academy of American Poets. Prior to starting this site, he had a very limited understanding of music. He hopes to maintain some of that innocence.
On Mark’s Aspirations For This Project
366 Songs uses an Edisonian model based entirely on trial and error. Admittedly Mark has had no substantial musical training and typically only wrote poetry prior to beginning the project.
Mark hopes to understand the medium. This site can be seen as a diary of development. It will also serve as entertainment for listeners and as a resource for other musicians who want to borrow material and get ideas.
On Creative Commons Licenses
Creative Commons licenses offer us a historic and original opportunity for honest creation, a chance to reinvigorate and enrich the musical community. These 366 Songs are my contribution. Take these songs and have your way with them.
On Communication and Collaboration
The best way to contact Mark is via e-mail. If you are a musician who’d like to collaborate, Mark would be interested in working with you. E-mail him.
